A reception will be held Friday, Feb. 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Also showing at the Livingston Center for Art and Culture are works of art by children who participated in the Read for Peace, MLK Jr. Service Day at LINKS for Learning. Read for Peace is part of a statewide AmeriCorps project where volunteers from the community go into classrooms and read a short story about peace or MLK Jr. to elementary school kids. After hearing the story, the kids draw, color and imagine what peace looks like to them.
Small Gems, our holiday exhibit opens during the Livingston Holiday Stroll on Friday, November 30 from 5 to 8 PM. New items are arriving daily! Do your holiday shopping at the Center. We have original works of art by local artists for sale at affordable prices: paintings, ornaments, jewelry, pottery, hats and scarves. What would make a better gift?
Come out this Friday, Sept. 38 between 5:30 and 8:30 PM for the LAST Art Walk of the season. Our featured exhibit, Sister Moon, curated by Janie Camp and Char Devine Edwards, is a phenomenal collection of works!
The collection includes antique Navajo rugs collected by Peter Bartlo, oil paintings by Janie Camp, quilts by Char Devine Edwards, custom wood pieces by Jean Keffeler, jewelry by Katie Kilfoil, hand-blown glass by Ona Magaro, and bronzes by Joe Wayne.
Monday morning, Aaron Schuerr gave a wonderful painting demonstration.
Wednesday, the artists will converge at the Farmer’s Market, so that the community can see them painting. Visit us at our table for updates.
Friday, the artists will turn in their best three “wet” paintings by noon for judging by Bozeman artist Susan Dabney. The exhibition opens at 5:30 for our Patrons and from 6:30 to 9:00 PM for the public.
